Decided I wanted to bump that last journal off...time to move on even if it hurts *sigh*.

Last week, I went back to my Uni and attended their annual end-of-year exhibition (and managed to catch some friends graduating too!) I'll be honest, I've missed that place, I managed to bump into not only my old friends but my tutors also. I told them where I was at and what my progress was. They respected my current decisions, but also threw at me some excellent advice and website links in case I ever hit a dead end in terms of concept art design, which I've been suffering badly lately.
I'm still devoted to the dream of working in the Games Industry, it's just the competition I find is incredibly fierce, but I'm thinking to myself 'Why rush? I have plenty of time to update and prepare.' That's all I seem to be thinking of these days. I'm working and earning extra cash through Furbuy auctions, but no way I want to do that forever.

Anyway I digress, that trip to the city and Uni was perfect, I'm not only still owing people commissions, but it's re-awakened that lost inspiration and plan work on updating my portfolio - so what I've done is dug up an old Uni project and begun developing further, with new character designs and updating the overall story and game layout (before you wonder, I don't intend to pitch this one day.) I have 2 others, but one is overall cliche, and the other looks like an existing game - this one I'm working on seems to represent me and my love for story writing and displaying emotion. So I've made a list of things to do: Create website and portfolio material, clear out some of my older works and re-do my showreel; a new idea hit me thanks to a showreel I saw at the exhibition!

Point is, my website will have new updates soon, definately have more than 5 new images to show and accompanying the game's designs will be life drawing and other designs etc. Haven't felt this exillerated in a long while - thanks Uni, my old tutors and this year's exhibiters!!

As for art updates on this account, maybe soon, I dunno but we'll see what happens. Right now my main concern is Portfolio, Commissions and...well just getting back in touch with my more creative side.

Oh yes...and preparing for a huge-ass party in a few weeks time! Gonna rock so much! <3
