Done a few weeks ago.

I've always wondered what it was like in the days before Crash's evolution, what would he have gotten up to? This was one of them to my beliefs, referencing to him riding the warthog in "Hog Wild" from #1, I thought there had to be some connection, but I did my best, I'm morely quite embarrassed by the way I've done those warthogs because I did these without references, so the anatomy might be off slightly.

A random scene, not from anything of Crash riding a warthog, that warthog at the back is meant to be ridden by Coco, but from the perspective you can't see her, so it's not randomly making an appearance xD.
The style of un-evolved Crash I've gone for is something simular to the characters in "The Secret of Nimh" [link] , I simply can't imagine any of the characters going around without some sort of clothing. I loved Nimh, I thought it had brilliant character designs.

Oh my god, that is truly awesome piece of work here Jen. Your art is just getting way better and better than you are getting at. Your art skills on Photoshop, PSP and other painting programs. They are just truly stunning. NOw it is a wonder you got featured on my journal of the deviantart fiendship week. Crash here looks very cute. I like his fluffy tail and cute fur on him too. Hog wild is pretty hard level at first when getting all the boxes in one go without having to get being killed by those spike thingies lying around, plus those native jerks blocking your way with those surfing board thingies. the details on the warthogs are truly amazing too, the whizzy effect as they run are cool. the fur the grass the sky and the whole picture must have took you absolute centuries to complete, they just make my eyes freeze. Even back into the old work from like 2004 2003 art is still stunning, and I wish I had the talent like you to draw these sort of things, the animals and those sort of things. yeah cool

Hmmm, I think Crash would ride warthogs more if he wasn't evolved, hehe, it does sound like fun as long as you don't fall off of them. lol
I really like the background, it looks really beautiful and the warthogs look just fine to me. = ) They made me think of Pumba from the Lion King. lol
